CAMBER MOBILE
CAMBER MOBILE
designer: Brian Schmitt, 2006
description: Curvilinear wood elements bring a geometric beauty to this streamlined mobile. Three undulating shapes are anchored by a vertical form. The components' elliptical openings create visual interest and intriguing interplay of positive and negative space.
Made of an ultra-thin two-ply veneer with a rich wood grain, the pieces move with the slightest air current. They are cut by a computer-controlled router, then deftly formed and refined by hand in a thoughtful blend of high- and low-tech craft. Available in walnut or maple veneer.
